What is the name of your state? MI

The attorney for my divorce suied me his bill. It's a real long story for my late payments.

But now I am scared for this next subpoena I got yesterday. I was fired from my job last week and I don't have money to pay his bill. I don't when I will get my unemployment check I was told matybe in 60 days. The court date is September 3. I am supposed to bring copies all of my assets. Tax returns and stuff like that.

I don't have any money, can they take away my things to pay the bill? What does he want to know with these things. I am broke. I just hope to keep my house before I have to live on the streets.

*** If 'they' sue you and get a judgment, they can then seize, levy or garnish any non-exempt assets.

"What does he want to know with these things."
*** He is asking you to bring those records so that he can use the information therein to enforce a judgment against you. And yes, unless you have a valid LEGAL reason to challenge the subpoena, you MUST provide them.
