We got a call from Sam's Club today, telling us that Tylenol had recalled their children's cold meds, and that we'd purchased some recently.

So, I found this...

43 cold medications for kids recalled | - SILive.com

Among the medications being recalled, according to the company's website, are: Tylenol Infants' Drops; Children's Tylenol Suspensions; Children's Tylenol Plus Suspensions; Motrin Infants' Drops; Children's Motrin Suspensions; Children's Motrin Cold Suspensions; Children's Zyrtec Liquids in Bottles and Children's Be Nadryl Allergy Liquids in Bottles.

The website noted the recall "is not being undertaken on the basis of adverse medical events."

It said: "Some of the products ... may contain a higher concentration of active ingredients than is specified; others may contain inactive ingredients that may not meet internal testing requirements, and others may contain tiny particles."

The FDA is advising parents and caregivers to stop using the affected products, although Commissioner Margaret Hamburg called the potential for serious health problems resulting from the medications "remote."
