The other day I noticed a new feature to one of my free email accounts with goo-(cough). For 10 emails a year, the user can specify when the email was sent (in the past). So, if one were to have needed to email someone by 10pm monday but forget, the email account allows you to pre date/time the email so it appears it was sent before the deadline.

Thought that was an interesting feature to note. Any comments?

Um, this is actually possible if you know what you're doing. I mean, obviously, one needs to just analyze the tags (if you know how to do that) and see that it wasn't really sent at that date/time. Actually, I think the trend of some spammers is to use a future date to make sure it goes to the top of your inbox. But yes, it is possible to trick email servers into thinking an email was sent in the past/future.
