We purchased some furniture online last summer. The furniture was delivered over a month after the date promised. The problem is that two of the four pieces we received were damaged. The deliverymen set it up and began to unwrap it which is in our contract. They then left immediately after opening the 2 undamaged pieces. We opened the others and immediately contacted them. They said they would pick it up the following Monday. They never showed and we contacted them again. They left a message for us stating that our replacement pieces were on the truck. That never happened and they will not return calls or emails. We are taking them to small claims court to get our $$ back. The company is based in Plano Texas. Can we recover travel costs, loss of wages, etc since we must go to Texas to do this?
