I am located in Virginia and was doing business with a company in North Carolina. I am not sure what recourse I possibly have but the transaction has been a nightmare. I sent some motorcycle pieces to a company to chrome and everything seemed to go okay. I then sent the remaining pieces which were the bulk of what needed to be chromed and cost more than $1000. I was given a timeframe of 3-4 weeks on the phone and their voicemail system states a typical timeframe of 1-2 weeks. They have had my items for 8 weeks now and have said they are shipping today, but I have heard that the last few weeks. They have offered no compensation for the trouble, do not return calls, and have hung up on several attempts to reach them. I cannot simply cancel the transaction because they have major pieces to my motorcycle such as rims that they have to send back. What can I do to get at least part of my money back from this?
