What is the name of your state? MO
I'm sure you all have heard the same stuff over and over. I apologize - we are very new to this. Visited with lawyer 2 days ago for free consultation. Have questions since returning home. They asked if we had bought "big ticket items" in past 60 days using cc. We've made a house payment, paid for vision exams and glasses for the kids, and paid for a $100 TV. Is this what they're referring to? If so, where does that leave us?

Big ticket really means luxury items or frivilious purchases. There is nothing wrong with making a mortgage payment or paying for medical/dental/vision needs or $100 TV.

Car Loan

Thanks for easing our minds. They also told us to go out and buy a less expensive car before filing bankruptcy on our high priced one. We have 2 high priced ones. Can we go buy 2 lesser expensive vehicles (which we would have to get a loan to do) without losing them? We still have very good credit because we haven't missed a payment on anything. Is this what would be recommended?
Thanks for listening.

Sounds like you've got a good lawyer.
Yes, get the auto needs taken care of prior to filing. You can reaffirm the loans.
