Yes - my employer switched payroll company's on 1/1/2006 - we went from a semi monthly payroll (15 & 31th) to a bi-weekly payroll. They divided our annual salary by 26 & we were paid 26 times in 2006 & 2007. The first pay we recieved was on 1/5/2006, then 1/19, and evry 2 weeks since. They are now saying that the payment we recieved on 1/5/2006 was not for any days worked, but it was an advance, and they want us to pay it back. Is this legal?
