What is the name of your state? Michigan

My checking account is overdrawn only because of bank fees. How does declaring bankruptcy affect the fees, if at all? Also, and more importantly, we don't have any really valuable personal items. What are typical items trustees go after?

Thanks

The debt to the bank is dischargable - but you'll have to bank somewhere else from then on.

Non-exempt property. Excess equity in a home, high-dollar items that will bring $$$$ when sold.
