I have a couple of questions regarding two very large old trees which overhang our home: the trunk of one tree is in our yard and the other is in our neighbors yard but both have large branches hovering over our house. If either of these branches broke off and fell on my house, would I just claim on my home owners insurance no matter what or would I have to claim against my neighbor's insurance if the tree on her side of the fence caused the damage?
Am I obliged to remove these potential hazardous branches to avoid this risk even if I have no reason to suspect that they could be a hazard other than the fact that the trees are fairly old and large ...and very pretty??
