I resigned, gave 2 week notice, returned all equipment and am not working for a competitor. My former company owes me 12,000 in travel
expenses which I paid out of my own pocket. The company is solvent, but is not re-embursing me for the expenses, what are my options.

Why are they refusing to pay?

Youcan report them to the state labor department, or sue, or better yet, get a lawyer to write them a letter demanding the payment.
