What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

So after drinking a bit with some friends at a party for a marine friend of mine's return home I left at 1am since I had work in the morning (stupid to drive, i know). Well I didn't get far, went over a bridge and a cop pulled me over. Guess I had a burned out headlight I didn't know about. He said I was swerving also but think he just made that up (he pulled me over right when he saw the headlight, so not enough time to know if i was), there was a street fair from the way I was coming which people were drinking at so he probably just wanted to make sure I wasn't drinking.

Anyways he asked for my ID, registration and insurance. I don't have insurance... so as I was *looking* for it he just asked me to get out and do some sobriety tests. After he made me blow and I blew a .134. So now I'm looking for a lawyer, found one who seems good/good review who charges $200/hour, hopefully it won't cost too much after its done and over with.

My DUI ticket says nothing about not having insurance, don't think the cop even knew I didn't have it. Will the judge ask me about insurance/see by looking up my info if I don't have insurance?

*Long story short* - Got a DUI, cop didn't check my insurance (don't have insurance), nothing on ticket says anything about insurance, will judge ask if i have insurance/be able to look up my info and see if i do?

I doubt the judge will ask that question. You're in a deep enough hole. If he does, you can invoke your fifth amendment right to silence.

BTW, it WILL cost a lot, and not only for the lawyer.
