I own a condo that I allow my mother to live in for free (different last name). She pays the condo fee. She was recently elected to the board of trustees. Now she gets a letter saying she can't be on the board.
I read the master docs for the condo. They say a trustee needs to be removed by a 51% vote of unit owners. Can they remove her? There is no definition of an owner. One of the trustees told me last year they list the unit as owner occupied.
Would a lawyer help? Can I sue the board somehow (cheaply?)?
Thanks!
