My sister and I agreed to purchase and live in a house together. We both put down an equal amount of money for the house. We agreed to share ALL living expenses; house payment, utilities, groceries, maintenence costs etc. Everthing was OK for about 5-6 years, until she decided to allow her unemployed, irresponsible boyfriend to move in knowing that I would not approve. Her name is the only one listed on the deed. To prevent any legal issues against me, I moved out. Can she legally make this type of decision without discussing it with me, or was I just considered a tenant in HER home?

Why do you not have your name on the deed -- or any record of your ownership? What did the 2 of you agree to? What do you want to do, remembering it is your sister.
