You must cooperate with showing or be in default. I suggest giving dates and times that are acceptable to you ie. 2-3 times per week and giving this schedule to the real estate agent. Saying that these are the only dates and times that you will allow. You are not required to be there to show the place at the whim of all the real estate agents.

The owners of the house which I rent have informed me of their intent to sell the house. My lease does not expire until 12/31/00. The owners want us to stay in the house until they sell because they cannot afford to make their mortgage payments without my paying them rent. They have listed the house with a realtor and have asked us to let them show the house. At first I was OK with this, but now I'm getting calls constantly asking if the realtor and other realtors can come by on nights and weekends to show the house. One realtor got hostile with me because I wasn't going to be home by a certain time and insisted that I should have a lockbox placed on the door so that they wouldn't have to work around my schedule. Can I tell the landlord that I am no longer going to let them show the house while my lease is still valid and that I will vacate the house on 12/31/00. My concern is that I want to make sure that I get back my $1200 deposit.
