Paid $300 down on apt. Upon receiving receipt from new landlord, I quit my current job, gave notice to current landlord, and got a job in same town as apt. Called new landlord to pay rest of rent/deposit and get key for apt. and he told me he can't accommodate me. I am all packed with nowhere to go and can't afford motels as it will cut into my rent money. Please help me. I live in CA

You jumped too soon. Don't give notice until you have a new lease signed. L only promised to run your application & rent to you if you passed & there were no other applicants who were better. See if you can unquit & stay in your current apt. Get the job back before you try to stay in your current apt.
