What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?
I am from California. I decided to take an online mcse and ccnp course. Using my Va benefits I decided to pay for my classes up front with a credit card and receive monthly VA benefit payments to pay off credit card. I signed up in Dec. 03 and starting taking courses and recieving monthly va benefits in Jan 04. I contacted the school in july because I was finishing up my current course and needed the next one. I'd emailed for several months requesting them and never recieved a response. In October 04 I received a letter from the va stating i owe them 2,000+ of overpayments due to no longer in my courses. I was to be in my courses til feb 05. I called the school and the number was disconnected. I called the main school in New York and found out that I was being sent to third party for courses and they went out of buisness. I was furious because I had no idea. No one let me know, not even by mail. I have been in contact with the school now for 10 months and I keep getting the run around. I have asked for a refund but they refuse to give one. I also have been in contact with the Va and we have sent the school calls and email regarding the proper forms to fill out so we can take care of the this situation. Still no response from the school. We almost had it solved but they forgot to fill out a form to get the course certified with the Va, but again it has been two months. They keep telling me they will call me but still no response. Can I take legal action? Can anyone give me advice or help me?

Have you thought of contacting your credit card company? It's possible that since you seemed to have received no value for your money they may be able to do something for you. If you have taken the courses that may be a different issue though.

I didn't try my credit card because yes I have taken part of the courses. I have worked it out and they still owe us at least 5 months of courses. That would give us the money to pay back the Va. We have told them this and they still keep playing games. Is there anything else we might be able to do or try....??? Thanks
