What is the name of your state?
Texas

6 weeks after I quit my job, I started recieving direct deposits of my salary again. After the first one, I thought they would notice and handle it, so I put the funds away anticipating that I would pay it back. After the second one, I notified my former boss and he said he would look into it, but never contacted me again. Now I have recieved a third paycheck from my former employers, and have notified my ex-boss yet again, but no reply! What are my rights regarding this money?

You have the right to return the funds. Be careful though. If they realize the mistake and you have placed the funds into a seperate account, they may be able to back charge your account to remove them electronicalyy and put you into a world of overdrawn hurt.

It's not your money, do not spend it.

Pretty simple. You have the right to send them a check to reimburse them for their mistake, in FULL.
And with that check, send a very nice letter asking them to stop sending you the pay in error... and to make sure that they do correct their records to show the tax overpayment.
