i'm 16 now, living in CA and my mother and i (my parents are divorced) are having a dispute over her rights against mine. does she have the legal right to force me on a trip i wish not to attend? can she have the police or some sort of agency force me to go with her?

A trip? She is your Mother, and if your Mother wants you to go on a trip with her...Go.

This society has changed alot, but come on. If your Mom tells you to do something, do it. She is your Mother!

It's a trip we are talking about, it's not like she is forcing you to endure severe pain and anguish.

Sorry that this may sound harsh, but sometimes I think this society has taken SO much away from parents.
