I live in a small apartment complex with only 8 apartments. the parking lot(if it can really be called that) is basically a driveway with space on the side for parking. It runs in front of the building and has a very large hill in the middle of it. Recently, there was a really bad snowstorm, and There was, of course, snow all over the place. The storm occurred almost 2 weeks ago, and nothing has as yet been done to remove the snow(which has since turned to ice) from the parking lot. My parking spot is right at the base of the hill, so if someone slides down the hill and spins out of control, it would be my car that they would hit. I have two questions.
1. Is the landlord responsible for the removal of the snow and ice, since it is causing a danger to the tenants and the tenant's personal property?
2. Should someone slide down the hill, would the landlord be responsible for damages to my vehicle if it did get hit?
Thanks for any help you can give. My car has almost been rammed three times now. I have called the landlord and asked if he's going to do anything, but have not as yet recieved an answer.

well do you have comprehensive or collison insurance on you car? Then YOUR insurance company will sue the landlord for the damages

Yes the landlord is reponsible, but if you call the city buildings dept, see what they say maybe he can be fined for not plowing a multi unit building

Or hire a private company to plow, I would deduct it from the rent. After sending the landlord a certified letter
