What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

I was handed a parking ticket by an officer while I was still sitting in the driver's seat. The ticket states "Ticket left on windshield". The fact that the officer did not leave it on my windshield but actually handed it to me has me wondering if the ticket may be invalid.

Thanks, Flteen

No, it does not invalidate the ticket.

And you would be wrong.

Was your car parked where the ticket says it was parked? Was it violating the rule the officer checked off as violated? Those are more legally relevant.

Whether there are signs that a reasonable person could see and interpret, or whether the meter was broken, etc. could be more relevant/could have legal merit.
