I live in CO and co-signed a car loan for my soon to be ex-husband and want my name off of it as he does not keep the payments current, in spite of a court order to do so. What recourse do I have to save my credit? What is "suing for partition"?

Co-signer of loan

The only way to save your credit is to be sure the payments are made. Since you co-signed the debt, the creditor is entitled to payment from you if your husband does not pay. Your recourse in this is against your husband if you have to pay. Partition refers to severance of co-ownership of real estate.
