A business partner offered group family health insurance coverage thru one of his other companies. After a time, the coverage was cancelled. The insurance company sent a record and indicated coverage had only been for 2 months. The partner had kept all premium checks past that point. (Payments were made out to him personally).

Not only was my family at risk, but I'm out the money.

What are my options?

Sue him. You can only get back your premiums (unless someone developed a pre-existing condition during the time there was no insurance). You can't sue for the danger, only for actual damages.
