I reside in Geoegetown,in the county of Williamson, Tx. I have been involved with a partner in verbal contract only in developing a product with his money , my design , and my labor. It had been broght to my attention that he was attempting to eliminate me , and attempt to pursue my design on his own.I had been recording our conversations to the end of establishing that there was indeed a parnership.Suprisingly when I asked him about payment(we had agreed on a subsistence income, paid by him ,to me, which he had not been paying) he became hostile, made threats of use of a firearm, drove to my home ,drove hisAvalanche into my truck several times, totalling it, and was subsequently arrested and awaits trial on multiple felony counts. The product in question was installed in his boat with an aprpoximate value of 5000.00 in labor alone .Can I ,and how do I pursue this? The D.A. is pursuing restitution for my damages.I still posses some inventory, and all the tools , which I selected and purchased with signed checks by my partner. What right do I have to the product which he paid for in material, but I fahioned and have not been paid for.Does his criminal act give me reasonable cause for dissoloution and pursue payment ? Did I mention this has put me in financial dissaray?I am looking to pursue this in small claims ,since I cannot afford an attorney.
