My boyfriend took a paternity test over a year ago and never saw the results. The mother of the child claims that the results were about 96% positive but the courts have never followed through with gettting child support payments set-up. The mother recently got married and I heard that in some states if the child support was not arranged before the marriage then the biological father is not obligated to pay for child support, the new husband is seen as a provider for the child. Do you know if this is true and what states it may be true in?
