What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?MD
Good afternoon, June 2014 I was attending an outpatient rehab program in DC until last September, when i had surgery, but i planned to return soon. The staff is great & so are the services.
Last week i received a bill for $2,665, saying this was my portion after insurance. From my understanding, i was covered @ 100%. I phoned the clinic & they told me this was the cost i owe in co-pays after insurance. The lady went on to tell me about EOB this & EOB that.
I've been to many doctors & specialists & they ALWAYS collect their co-pay @ the time of service.
This clinic never asked me for a co-pay, ever
Every week i went they'd have a list of names on the board of those that owe a co-pay; my name was never on the board
Every month we'd get a monthly statement showing what we owed; mine always said $0.
Today i get a call saying they'll waive the full balance & I can make payments for a year to pay it off.
Should i accept this or should they excuse the entire bill so that i pay nothing, because i don't believe this is my fault?
