What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

WA/OR-This is a national company

The company I work for has decided that they will now introduce tiers for health care rates in the company based off the amount of money you made the year prior. So if you make more then say 50k your in the first group and then 100k might be the next cut off.

Can an employer choose who pays more for the exact same benefits off of how much you make? They only review your wages once a year so if you make less the following year you would still be paying at the higher rate ( or higher wages pays the lower rate).

Yes. Being higher-paid is not a protected class. As many years ago as 10, the company I worked for at that time had a similar calculation. Annual salary between X-Y, employee paid one percentage; annual salary between Y-Z, employee paid higher percentage.

Perfectly legal.
