I live in the state of Texas. my son, who was 22 at the time, subcontracted for a landscape co. The owner paid my son and had my son pay his illegal (Mex) workers. since they didn't have a ss# or green card, my son had to pay them cash. the workers salarys were added to my sons w2 and he now owes $4000 in taxes on money he didn't make. i feel this man took complete advantage of a kid. is there any remedy against this man or would my son be in trouble about the workers. the other man hired them. it was an expensive lesson to learn, but learn he did.
