What is the name of your state? AR I am paying off my arrears this next month. The arrears amount was place on my credit report. The credit report agency is not being reported to by the state how much I pay each month so the amount on the credit report is not lowering and they will not lower it by my proof only by the states proof. This next month I am paying the total amount off. Does any one have any insight to how I go about this? What things I need to look out for because you can not trust the state? Any advice would be appreciated.

You can send a letter to the credit agency and ask them to investigate the report.
That's correct , then If they don't adjust the report , ask for a copy of the verification Form the CS Agency sent them , then dispute it , if it's incorrect with any proofs you have .

How do I go about paying off the arrears?
How do I go about making sure the state reports this to the credit bureaus?

You can either make payments or pay it off in full, if you have the means. In fact, CSE may already have an income withholding order to take the payments directly out of your checks.

I don't know how to make CSE report it to the credit bureaus. I am also not sure that they have to do it every time they get a payment either. Perhaps a senior member can clarify on that for you.

I was trying to reply and this dern PC wants to act up , dial up ya know .

Request an Audit of your Cs case from the State .

Gather your proofs of payments .

Compare them with the State's records , If in order make a Final Payment of arrears .

In either event , you supply CRA's with proofs , and request them to update your report(s).

If they deny the update , request an investigation as you were advised , also request a copy of the State's ( creditor) verification Form .

Compare all the State's records , the verification Form , and YOUR records , and if you feel your right , re-send this info to the CRA's .

If in the end the Cra's refuse to budge , submit a complaint with your local branch of the attorney General's Office about the CRA(s) .
