im in arizona and frustrated.i have a student loan that has gone into default.the total amount now has more than doubled the original amount owed.during the time between my first payment due and now i have been incarserated and sometimes unemployed.the loan company will refinance it but i cant see paying interest on it if i was in jail.i could use any advice on this situation.

Sorry to say, I have a student loan myself.
There's very little you can do legally to get out of paying a student loan, if anything. When you sign the papers for a student loan, you are pretty much signing a deal with the devil.

A student loan can be discharged in bankruptcy. People will try to tell you it can't but I did it.
