Have a Best Buy card which I used to purchase a TV about a year a go. 0% for 3 years. Been paying a bit more than the minimum for the past year.

Purchased another product on this same card which advertised 0% for 6 months. Both balances are on the card and show the promotions they are under.

My question is with the new credit card laws, will the payments be applied to the 6 month balance as I still have till 2011 to pay off the 3 year 0% balance.

My concern is the payments I send will be applied to the 3 year balance and the 6 months will elapse and I will be charged the deferred interest. Was going to call today to ask but I figured I would ask on here in case anyone has experienced something similar with a credit issuer.
