My boyfriend is frustrated with an Alarm company he works for. He is not a salesperson, he is the installer of the Alarm. He works for a company that is a dealer for a much larger company, lets call them APB. He signed a W-4 when he started, there was no "contract" signed, or employee handbook. He is having trouble collecting money for the jobs he has completed. They pay per job, depending on how many doors/windows are alarmed. He is owed over $800 for jobs that are as old as 6/04. They tell him "they were not funded" because the customer isn't completely satisfied with something. Now is this HIS problem being we all know a customer wants something for nothing and complain to get a free ride, and these customers were happy when he left. I don't know the laws, but if a job is completed and signed by the customer, shouldn't he get paid regardless of the situation. Please help with some advice with what he should do.
