What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Mississippi
Hey my friend/girlfriend (it's complicated) received a notice from a justice court. She called to see what the charges were, and they said "peace bond." The girl (crazy girl) who filed the charge is married to a guy (chump) my girl (hippie girl) dated for a like a week 14 years ago. Hippie girl is real laid back (buddhist and does yoga) and said she has never threatened crazy girl, but believes crazy girl is mad because she talked to chump last summer, possibly over Facebook. She also said crazy girl has actually threatened her for talking to chump and thinks hippie girl is after him, although I don't know all the details. Hippie girl has a broken foot and doesn't really need to be walking around on it too much. So, what can hippie girl expect? Should she come prepared with a motion to dismiss? Can she counterclaim with her own peace bond against crazy girl if crazy girl has threatened her? Can she request a continuance due to her broken foot?
