penal code under limitations of actions for dwi in washington state

Ticketd for a Dwi in 5/95
History ...... no other infractions. gave up driver
license,in 95. have had no other incounters with the law.
wondering if (I can regain my driveing licence back under the Statues of limitations,) Prosecution should have ran out
after (1) year. I did not attend court, I had a job out side
of the USA. Left before hearing, job required to leave.

I got a D.U.I. back in 87, I waited and did not know what happenened to my license (I never sent in an sr22 I never received a letter from the DMV) I call the DMV in 1989 and they told me that my record was clear and that my license was just expired. So maybe you need to do the same thing. Call up the DMV in your state (it might be listed under "Driver Control, Internal Revenue Service".") (call information if you do not know the number) Give them your name and drivers license # (Hopefully if you haven't had a license for a while you know the number) and just ask them what is on your record. They cannot arrest you and they cannot hurt you, so do this and they will let you know what you need to do to get your license back.

PS. To anybody else reading this. Take out your drivers license and please memorize the # you never know when you might need it.
