What is the name of your state? Wisconsin
Hopefully this is the right area to put this question. I currently work as a Training Officer for a small Rescue Squad. We have been having a problem with a certain Instructor at the Technical College we have been using.
She has a "Penalty Pot" set up in her room for money. For example: If you wear a hat to class it costs you $5.00, If your pager goes off in class it costs you $10.00. No body has been informed where this money goes, for sure. One student told me it went for Art work for the room. Is this legal since the students have already paid for the class? Can she really get away with this, for all we know she is keeping the money for herself. I heard 1 guy got charged $50.00 since he didn't wash his hands after using the bathroom. Please let me know your legal opinions on this subject.
Thanks.
