gGeorgia What is the name of your state?I left a job after nine years and after five months they still do not want to give me my money. How long do I have to wait. They say it is in the hands of the broker but they won't respond. What should I do?

Which is it? A pension plan or a profit sharing plan? The answers are different, depending.

(If a pension, is it a true pension or a 401k?)

Pension; under the law, you cannot have pension monies distributed to you until you are at minimum 55 1/2, and not even then unless the pension plan allows for early distribution.

Profit sharing; it depends on the terms of the profit sharing agreement.
