I recently found Asshat's current address on the court website... it's current as of 9/24 anyway...

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with the information gathering websites? I'm interested in finding his current employer... income would be nice, but employer is really the most important part.

I want to go NOWHERE near him, so following him is not an option and hiring a PI is out of my league, as much fun as I think it would be.

Any recommendations? Tips? Things to look out for?

Hubby used a website (www.theworknumber.com) to verify employment when he had his ex served. From what I recall (it's been quite a few years ago) they were good. I worked for a subsidiary of Gaylord Entertainment, and we used it to verify income when we wanted to buy stuff, too.

it worked. gave me all kinds of information. the more you pay, the more info you get.

but be careful. i paid for info that was six months old. it had nothing about his recently acquired wife in it.

had to get that from one of his co-workers that had quit and then gone back to work for the company.

Trust me that this man is the reason I do background checks on all potential dates now. Thankfully, D'man passed w/flying colors... but extensive efforts were made to see into his past.

I lived w/asshat for a year, had his child, and THEN found out he was still 'technically' married. The only reason I found him now is that he apparently filed for divorce in Sept.

I like those of you that have posted...have done checks...some just because I was bored and the clerk docket was free.

However, www.itelius.com is a great site. It gave my husband (who passed as well with flying colors) some great info on his ex-girlfriend and her new husband...stuff she didn't even know that came out in court.

It give you info on things that are filed in the courts, convictions...to get the details you then call the clerks office. It gave fines, felony info, bad checks, and who they may be married or related to.

At my office, everyone calls me the resident PI....you need to know, I usually can find it out in a day or two.

CJ i'm sure you DO have an eye for genetics! which is cool in the long run. i love it when my friend's babies are gorgeous. i always tell the 'good breeders' to continue on. the world needs more adorable babies.
