I made a personal loan to a supposed friend, through a bank,buy cosigning a loan for $5000.00. This person paid all but $2300.00. I have a signed- witnessed promissory note and have made 3 attempts by mail (cannot find a phone number) to this person for repayment. Help...what more can I do?

Go to your local small claims court and file a lawsuit. Present your evidence to the court in the hearing. Get a judgment. Then, you get the thrill and excitement of using the legal processes to enforce the judgment and hopefully, force the deadbeat to pay you.
