My son picked up a "buddy" on the internet. The guy was essentially homeless but computer literate. Sentenced ten years ago for phreaking and comp. hacking. My son and this guy go to Birmingham, with the intentions of starting a business. My son who was clean, a good kid, but manic depressive, acquired credit cards, and "invested" in their business interest, in terms of place to live, computer equipment, car.. The business never got off ground. But this guy teamed up with another friend of his who has a successuful business, and they are using much of the equipment my son charged, yet my son has no business relationship with them. My son is home now, back on medication, and agonizing over his stupidity. He has no job, and is in about $30K in debt.He was deceived in believing that they would make it big in Birmingham. So my son took a "loser" and made him a "somebody." My son becomes the fall guy. It really burns me up.

This one is really pretty simple (and doesn't need a 'poll'). Since he purchased the equipment in his name, it is his. Go get it. And if you need help, file a theft report with the police.
