I am in desperate need of advice before hiring an attorney!!! A few months ago, An ex-friend of mine bought some furniture as a house warming present for myself and my husband. I have a copy of the purchase order stating that the furniture was being delivered to my address in my name and my husbands......However, she had the furniture financed and paid for it in her name and we were told that it was a gift. After several months my husband and I moved to a different state and she became angry and decided to sue us to get the furniture back. Not at any time did we ever sign anything stating we would pay her for the furniture........Is she being an "indian giver" and are we entitled to get our furniture back? PLEASE HELP!!!!
