What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? DC

I'm the PR and my mother's will states that I am to receive all of her personal property including furniture, furnishings, etc. In a family meeting early after her death, I said some of the family members could have certain items, I've since changed my mind and I don't want to give them these items. Is there anything they can do legally to get these items.

Also is a washer/dryer a fixture?

Probably not.

Whether certain appliances constitute fixtures is local custom. In the DC area I'm pretty sure the washer and dryer are NOT considered fixtures. Refrigerators generally are (as opposed to NJ where they usually are not).
