I work for a company that uses company cars. We were purchased approximately 6 mounths ago by a new Mega Corporation. We were told that our car policy might be affected. It was possible that we would no longer have personal use on our vehicles after the buyout transistion period. We were also told that we would be given notice that this policy was to end in order to give people a chance to procur other transportation for personal use. On Wednsday July 11 at 8am in the morning I was brought into a meeting and told that my and the rest of my co-workers personal driving privaliges were revoked as of now!! In fact that this policy was effective July 1st. Should I not been given a notice of the termination of this benefit??? I would of thought at least 30 days. This poses a personal hardship for me because we have a anouther car, but my husband and work opposing shifts. I have been working for this company for seven years. Do I have any recourse? should I sign the new contract?
