I aassume the first court date is the arrainment.When you answer the charges.If you are to have a public deffender will they be provided before you answer to the charge???I would assume so??Answering the charges would be,i,e. guilty,notguilty,nolocontende ?? correct??/ then a trial date is set by the judge.member of the family was caught shoplifting.Already paid 200.00 in civil claim.1st offense,39 yr.old adult.Assume penalty would be probation,and court fees,200.00 to 500.00 any advise?????
