I'm not sure if my question falls within this forum, but please help. two days ago I had an appointment with my doctor, who adjusted my medication (methadone). He increased my dosage, however, when I took it to the pharmacy, the pharmacist said my insurance wouldn't pay for it until the 19th. He said my doctor said I should have enough til then. I told the pharmacist that I would pay cash for the prescription, and asked for the script back. he said no, that I have to come back on the 19th. I didn't feel like going over why my doctor wrote my script for that day, there were other people standing around and I was embarrassed. so I just said ok, and left. now that I think about it, what are my rights? can that pharmacist just keep my script? I don't want to do business there anymore so don't I have the right to go to another pharmacy? Do I have to call my doctor to ask for another one because the pharmacist took the original one? I feel no stupid, I can guarantee this guy thinks I'm trying something dishonest, but my doctor know what he's doing, or he wouldn't have wrote it. Waht should I do. Thanks from Mi.
