I just wrote about the tenant, who said squirrels are in the attic. I believe that she is calling me on the telephone and hanging up. I have call trace (Georgia) and the telephone company has traced the calls to one number. I had to contact the police department and do a report over the phone. They will then contact the phone company to get the information.

What if she's the one calling and hanging up, whenever I answer the telephone and if it's her I will have the authorities take action.

Then can she be forced to move?

I don't know anything about GA law, or if you have a lease or not,

But I do know about dealing with telephone harrassment.

Generally, you need to make a report to the Police, which will authorize the telephone company to put a trace on your line. In California, they need to get 3 hits on your line from the same party, after you report them to be harrassing, for them (the Police) to act. The telephone company, in cahoots with the police, will always mess up enough so that there will be no more than 2 hits from the bad guys, so that they will not prosecute.

What you need to do is to tape record all of these telephone calls, find some way to get the time and date in there, report them to both the telephone company and the police, and keep after them. They won't prosecute such a minor offense, but you may be able to get the police to call in the people that the calls are traced to (especially if you have provided recordings to the Police - they won't ask you for them) and scare them enough that they will stop making the calls.
