I have been receiving harrassing phone calls for a year and a half. I finally have a policeman who is trying to help me He asked the States Attorney for a subpoena for a couple of things that were on my phone bill. This has been around 5 months ago. They said they went yesterday and now the statue of limitations are up which would be a year. Is that true? and what can I do about them waiting If they had gotten the subpoena when he asked the limitations would not have been up. I live in Illinois. By the way the caller is using a prepaid card and is using a cellular phone which comes on as cellular collect. Just wondered if anybody else has had this happen to them? We get from 5 to 80 calls a day. Thank You.

Ever consider changing your phone number to an unlisted number? Most phone companies will do it for free in cases such as yours.

Racer,
Thanks for the advise. We have a business that people
rely on looking in the phone book for us. I wish it was an option.
Thank You,
Diondra

Call Blocking

Most local bells have a service called "Call Blocking". You enter a code and then the phone number to block and viola, no more harassment.
