What is the name of your state? Texas

I am an artist and I am about to begin a series of work on historic homes in my city. I am wondering if there there is any law that would prevent me from taking photos of the homes without consent of the owner?
Also, do I need permission to photograph business and other public buildings for use in this series?
Thanks for any help.

MY RESPONSE: None. Go ahead and snap away!

MY RESPONSE: No, you don't.
