--- if I take a picture of a famous person and/or landmark does the person or owner of landmark have any rights to keep me from manipulating and/or reproducing that photograph for resale ?

example: a video was taken of a few famous golfers on the 18th green of a famous golf course. a still photo was made from the video and reproduced for sale and profit.

I have been told the person who took pictures was "the owner" and copyright holder of his own works but my question is do people or landmark owners have any rights over this particular photography ?

thank you in advance

*** Yes. Your using their 'likeness' for sale or advertisement without permission is a violation of their rights and would make you subject to legal action.

Additionally, you could be subject to litigation by the owner of the photographs and/or video.
