What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York
My son is currently in boot camp for the Marines. A year ago, when he was 17, he enrolled into a Piano school with a two-year contract. I brought them his enlisting contract as proof that he is now enlisted in the Marines but they said it doesn't matter and that I will still be billed for his contract. Can they do this? I was always under the impression that a military contract cancels all other contracts, however that wording is not on his enlistment contract. What can I do? The school is $175 a month and I refuse to pay that for lessons that they don't have to teach. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!
