I am from the State of Georgia
Hello,
I am wondering if I have any legal legs to stand on with a website that I created for a former employer of mine. It seems that they took the files, cut and pasted the text word for word to their new site. I have the original files on my computer, but I never registered it as copyrighted material. Is my former employer liable for damages by allowing the new webdesign company publish and claim copright to my work? I did this site freelance while employed by this company.

If you were paid by your former employer for your work, you do not own it, they do. They can then do as they wish with it.
