My son was sued,he paid off the suit but the women that sued him hasn't sent in a letter of satisfaction, thus it shows up on his credit report as not paid.He called her and reminded her to please send in the letter. When we went to the court house to see if she had done so,she did not.He tried to contact her again and she changed her phone numder. Can she now be sued for reuning his credit because she didn't follow the court order to send in the letter of satisfaction?
He has all the receipts that she has been paid off.

And what exactly did the court staff advise you to do when you contacted them about the failure to file a "Satisfaction of Judgment"????

And, no, you have no basis for suing the creditor. Granted, she should have filed the satisfaction as a courtesy, but there is NO obligation for the creditor to do so.

Finally, 'she' is not the one who 'ruined' his credit. He is the one that didn't pay the debt or judgment!
